1. Job Announcement: Program Manager
Pro Kids Golf Academy and Learning Center, located in City Heights, seeks an enthusiastic and experienced individual to advance its mission by challenging under-served youth to excel in life. Primary responsibilities include managing the volunteer and mentoring programs, administering the college preparatory and scholarship programs, and promoting positive life choices through model interaction with members. This full-time position also supports the general educational and community service goals of our member programs.

A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education, sociology, or equivalent, plus a minimum of three years related experience. This detail-oriented candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and must have experience in project management, volunteer programming, and youth development.

A. Updates from Mid-City Community Advocacy Network
1. Job Announcement: McCarthy Family Foundation Office Administrator
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of all office policies and procedures.
  • Manage and order supplies within the budget guidelines of the organization. This will include maintenance of a petty cash journal and preparation of expense reports as needed.
  • Collect mail from P.O. Box. Administrator will sort mail and respond accordingly after communication with the President.
  • Maintain updated paper files at the foundation office.
    Respond to online Letters of Inquiry as requested by the President.
  • Update files in grant software, following up with grantees for reports and other required communication.
  • Maintain web site and communicate as necessary with The Foundation Center.
  • Prepare grant proposal books for officers of the board. Coordinate with Treasurer for inclusion of reports/spreadsheets.
  • Record minutes at two meetings per year.
  • Prepare Grant Agreement letters after each meeting.
  • Carry out additional duties as needed.

2. Job Announcement: REACH Case Manager

Southern Caregiver Resource Center is a private, non-profit social services agency that has been offering services to family caregivers of adults with chronic and disabling conditions since 1987.

The REACH Case Manager is a full-time, exempt position reporting to Southern Caregiver Resource Center's (SCRC) Associate Director. The REACH Case Manager position works from one of the South Bay workstations provided by the Program's partner agencies and provides Spanish and English REACH "Early Intervention" psychoeducational programs as well as case management, care planning and consultation, and support services to caregivers and families of individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. The REACH Case Manager also co-facilitates a support group and works closely with the Program's Promotoras on "Prevention" outreach activities.

Salary and Working Hours
$40-46K annually to start, DOE. Position works 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday.
